OK - it’s official - Mandrake 9.1 is out for grabs. Here is the press release, and the full feature list, along with the screenshots (drool…) is out here. Some of the goodies included are kernel 2.4.21, XFree 4.2.3 (with much better looking fonts), GNOME 2.2, and KDE 3.1.

Redhat 9.0 and Mandrake 9.1 ISOs are set to appear on the net within a few days. However, the guys at OSnews have managed to have a sneak peek at both. Here are the (p)reviews of RH 9.0 and MDK 9.1. The screenshots sure do look good…
Good news for all the Slackware die-hards here! Slackware which was hovering at RC releases for some time now has released version 9.0 on Tue Mar 18 01:44:41 PST 2003
The Slackware website is still behind date! But as ChangeLog states – “Slackware 9.0 is released… happy release day!” Smiling

SuSE Linux version 8.2 has been released. New features include out of the box remote desktop sharing, tabbed browsing in Konqueror (yay!!), KDE 3.1, GNOME 2.2, a profile manager for mobile users and several interesting new crypto/security features. The release announcement can be found here.
